Happy Halloween! Because my son chose to be spiderman this year for Halloween, I have the 60s version of the TV song running through my head whenever he dons the outfit, which is well, every day. So this post is brought to you by your friendly neighbourhood spiderman.
As a family we try to be intentional while still having fun on this holiday. So a few years ago, as we were living in a new neighbourhood, I decided that the one of the very acceptable times to get to know neighbours was on Halloween night. And I thought we would put a spin on the tradition of getting (don’t worry, we give out candy too 🙂 and give cookies to the houses that we visited. Just in case you wonder, we don’t give cookies to children who come to our door but to the parents or grown ups of houses we go to.
The kids help make and decorate the cookies and eat them too!
I hope you enjoy this spin on a traditional “getting” night.

Blessings from my house to yours,
