Journaling produces valuable results in many areas of life. This ritual is a physical way to process inner thoughts and emotions. Journaling allows the inner world to have an outlet or a voice. I am able to silence the inner critic
No matter how much we have grown and learnt, there will always be traces or unexpected appearances from the inner critic. The inner critic may be louder in times of depression, stress, or life transitions but it is always there. The regular habit of journaling allows us the tools to dismantle the inner critic just by writing out our fears and worries and thus enabling the initiation of change.
So much of what we allow into our thought process can be dealt with through choice; grabbing hold of what is in our control and re-routing it.

I am able to visualize my progress
When I write my affirmation down as a journal entry, I not only see it but can process its meaning and depth. I write what it means in that day, in that moment and reasons why I am where I am. As a curious mind, I seek to know the reasons for where my belief in my affirmation comes from.
One affirmation that I have been repeating to myself recently is, “You can do hard things”. When I face difficulty, fear or challenges, I go to this affirmation. I say it out loud repeatedly in a day. I will write it out and then make a list of all the “hard things” that I have accomplished. The evidence is clear when I write out why I can do hard things. I am able to grow my belief in my affirmation
The more I practice writing out an affirmation, the more I can cling to my growing belief in its value.
One of the helpful tools for witnessing the change in your belief in your affirmation is an affirmation rating guide. Rating your belief on a scale from 0 to 5, zero being “never” and 5 being “all the time” on a daily basis helps you to see progress as you practice journaling your affirmations.
