I've been avoiding finishing this prototype projec

I've been avoiding finishing this prototype project for my kimono style robe.
I am afraid that it won't turn out the way I want and I won't be able to sell it.
I'm afraid that people aren't going to like it.
I'm afraid that I don't have the right marketing skills, etc, etc..
Well, I'm making myself do it today. I can do this. I can make this dream a reality, even though it's been uphill the whole way. 🤷‍♀️

You have to check them out if you sew on any level. You pay by the pound, and I probably paid around $10 for 8 meters!!

Yesterday was a very grey day inside my mind.
Because I am such an emotional person, my emotions will dictate how I feel about myself, my relationships, and my creative work.
This is a very dangerous rut to get into.
I have to make sure that I keep myself in check.
This means that I acknowledge the emotion, let it have its moment, and then consciously choose to do what I don't feel like doing - moving on with my work and getting tasks done.

Are you ever inspired by a colour and know exactly what you want to create with it?
Recently, I went to the Fabulous Fabric Frenzy sale in support of @edmontongrandmothers who raise funds to support Grandmothers in Africa.
I found many gems, and this bright floral fabric was one of them.
I have been wanting to try a wrap-around dress for so long, and I finally did it with the pattern from McCall's #m8088
Of course, I made my own tweaks to customize it to my shape.
I love it! I must have loved doing it so much because it only took me 1 day to cut out and 1 day to sew!

You know, like a "do over" or "try again."
We can look at our mistakes, stumbles, or stortcomings as failures, or we can use them to do better, be better, and create better.
Like this dress, it needed a redo, a chance to shine.
I love how art imitates life or life imitates art.
