No matter what season it is, we all need t-shirts. We need t-shirts to dress up and wear casually. A t-shirt is definitely the most versatile and flexible item in a wardrobe. It is great to have a basic black and everyday white t-shirt, but add a graphic to a t-shirt, and it becomes a statement of who we are and what we believe. We can all get caught in a rut with our style and with t-shirt basics. Let me help you mix it up and show you 3 easy ways to style a t-shirt.
Go Casual With a Sweater
To go full on casual, take one of your long sweaters as a topper for your t-shirt and jeans pairing. This says relaxed while still looking pulled together. A shorter style of sweater would be just as striking as long as the hem came below the bottom of the t-shirt. Adding a sweater is the first and easiest way to style a t-shirt.
Dress It Up
Add your favorite blazer to your t-shirt and jeans; give the impression that you are relaxed yet sophisticated. Let your graphic t-shirt be your most prominent accessory while keeping all other jewelry basic and simple.
Add a Skirt
A skirt adds instant femininity to your overall look. Tuck in your t-shirt as this will create a lovely silhouette and make your waist appear smaller. To maintain the cinched in at the waist effect, go for a jacket that hits you just below the waist and is fitted. This denim jacket is playful. You could choose to wear flats or heels with this look, either would look fabulous.
And there you have it, 3 ways to style a t-shirt! This graphic tee with “bee kind” watercolour image is extremely versatile and easily dressed up or down. A graphic tee has the ability to speak to others about our values while yet staying playful and fun.
