Quilted Table Runner

When I received my fabrics in the mail, it was the fruition of all my hard work paying off and on display. I was so excited and started dreaming up many projects. Some of the projects so far have been a Pincushion, Wrist Rest, Mouse Pad, Zippered Pouch and Floral Cabachon Earrings. In addition to these projects, I wanted to highlight the talents of other sewers. Since meeting Linda Timms of Blue Barn Quilt Co., I wanted to showcase her talent for sewing and was thrilled when she offered to make a quilted table runner.

Blooming & Becoming Fabrics

She chose a lovely combination of fabrics from my Blooming and Becoming Fabric Collection. From left to right are the following:

Embrace the Journey
Abundance

I think the real “star” of all of the fabrics is the goldenrod toned leaf pattern, shown as the outer points of the star motif and the binding around the table runner.

The center of the star motif is the hand drawn outline of a peony named “Abundance”.

This table runner is the perfect addition to a spring table setting with fresh flowers and pussy willows to match.

I love how Linda used the striped mauve and cream pattern, “Embrace the Journey” as a feature border. It is just the right amount of pattern to break up the cream background fabric from Art Gallery Fabrics of the quilted table runner.

This delicate floral quilted table runner would also make a lovely art feature for the wall. I love how she used the delphinium print, “Behold the Beauty” as the other two points for the stars.

Linda’s work is impeccable as you look closely at the precise corners, combination of surface pattern designs and longarm quilting pattern.
