My relationship with jewelry dates back as far as I can recall. The earliest memory of my love for sparkle was cutting paper gemstones out of a mail order catalogue. I would clue them to a cardboard cut out ring and wearing it with pride. But you don’t need a piece of bling to pull off that sparkle and shine with my new Jewels Fabric Collection.
Jewels Fabric Collection Magazine

This collection’s dazzle is accomplished with miniature to large scale motifs, cheerful tones and meticulously crafted jewels.
With Jewels, my goal was to create luxurious patterns for fabric to inspire confidence in what creatives sew and wear. I drew my inspiration from my love of bold, fresh colors, the vivacity of the 80s and standing out like a well-chosen statement piece.

Knowing I was designing specifically for fabric, I wanted to showcase the patterns and the garments in a unique way. My love of fashion started and grew out of going through boxes of fashion magazines from a relative as a child. It naturally made sense that a magazine format was the way to go.

Unlike other collections, this one resided in my mind almost in its entirety prior to doing any work. I knew what I wanted it to become, and the work ahead was clear to me.
Designer Feature
It was important to me to have another creator as a contributor to the collection. So, I asked designer, Priscillia Okpan of Kim Dave to create a one of a kind piece. She chose to design and sew a drop waist dress using Pearl of Great Price in pink satin. She created a gorgeous and fun spring dress! Check out her YouTube video showcasing her creation HERE.

Jewels Fabric Collection is now available through Fashion Formula.
