The holiday season is a busy and full time with baking, decorating, entertaining and spending money. You need easy, budget friendly remedies in all of those areas. I am here to help with your Christmas decorating on a budget. You may remember that I did a DIY Felt Leaf Garland this past fall that was easy and super affordable. Well, I am going to show you today how to take that same garland and create a very inexpensive DIY Felt Leaf Wreath.
I have created a short video to walk you through the easy steps to create this fabulous holiday DIY.
Supplies*
- Felt Garland (Check out the DIY HERE)
- 12″- 18″ wreath frame
- Scissors
- Needle and thread
- Ribbon for hanging
Take the garland and attach the base of the garland (not the leaves) to the wreath frame using 5-10 stitches. Make these stitches where the horizontal piece of the frame matches the vertical. This garland went around the wreath frame two times.

This felt leaf wreath is lightweight and easy to hang anywhere. You can use a simple tack or an over the door wreath hanger. I used a lightweight cloth ribbon that I strung through the wreath frame and adhered to the back side of the window frame with a tack.

I love the simplicity of this felt leaf wreath. It truly could go with any decor. You could dress it up with pine cones, berries or a larger bow at the bottom. I chose to keep it simple in going with the frosty yet farmhouse theme of this Christmas display. Don’t forget to grab your Free Chickadee printable card HERE.
As a creative, do you struggle with confidence?
Even though I share a lot of freebies and tutorials, I held back for years sharing my creations because I feared failure. As creatives, you and I can be held back due to negative thinking. It might look like comparing your ability to others or not having the confidence to pursue your creative talent or putting your creations out into the world.
Is that you? Have you ever found it difficult to cope with imposter syndrome, your inner critic, fear of failure, perfectionistic tendencies, and being hesitant to share your work?
If your answer is yes, I have a Free resource for you. It’s just a click away!
