Sometimes you need to make a quick card but maybe lack some of the supplies. With trying to use what you have at home, I am making it easy for you to make a very versatile craft with this DIY card and Free teacup cut out.
I made the card below for my mom for Mother’s Day and she loved it. It would also make a beautiful birthday card as well as a cheerful hello note to receive in the mail.
- blank card or card stock
- patterned, decorative, scrapbook or wrapping paper
- paper cutter or scissors
- double sided tape
- double sided sticky dots
- teacup cut out (there are 9 per page to download from Free Printables Page and print out on heavier paper)
I have put together this quick video showing how versatile the teacup cut out is with a range of different colored papers such as these from my Blooming and Becoming Pattern Collection.
There are so many options of what kind of DIY card you can make. Here are some examples of how I put the different papers with the teacup cutout to make unique and beautiful cards.
There was limitless options as the teacups have so many colors that are found in each of the patterns. I also combined the two different color ways within the collection.
Layering duplicate coordinating papers, gives the card a more bold and three dimensional effect.
The options for scrapbook paper or even gift wrap are endless when you use this teacup cut out.
I hope you enjoy creating your own magic with this DIY card and free teacup cut out.
Even though I share a lot of freebies and tutorials, I held back for years sharing my creations because I feared failure. As creatives, you and I can be held back due to negative thinking. It might look like comparing your ability to others or not having the confidence to pursue your creative talent or putting your creations out into the world.
But what if you could change that? I have just the freebie for you – The FREE 5 Day Challenge. Watch this short clip (like 1 minute, I promise) for a sneak preview.
