As an artist, Darlene loves to share the beauty she sees with others. It is her honour to share the intricacies of God’s beautiful canvas. She began sharing her creative journey through watercolour.
After taking Bonnie Christine’s Immersion Course in 2019, Darlene dove into creating surface pattern collections for her portfolio. Inspiration for her pattern designs comes from vintage family handiwork in addition to being a collector of beauty on her family acreage. Open prairie skies, wild grass fields, lush berries and her English style flower garden provide the picturesque backdrop for sketching and painting.
Her favorite medium for creating is fabric; Darlene has been sewing for as long as she can remember. She loves to create wearable fashion as well as home decor items. Darlene’s designs reflect nature and florals with a delicate, fresh aesthetic.
