Happy New Year! It’s time to pack away the Christmas decorations and refresh for the New Year. And we certainly need all the help we can get with accomplishing those fresh new goals. So what better incentive than a beautiful, fresh calendar with inspirational messages and verses.
It has been my delight to create and give you a SECOND Free Printable 2018 Calendar to inspire you to have your best year. I have hand painted each image that corresponds with each month. I had such fun creating these watercolor art images and hand lettered months, I just had to make another one that was fresh with a whimsical vintage vibe. Check out my Feminine Chic FREE Printable 2018 Calendar HERE.

I decided to scale down each image from the original 8 1/2′ by 11″(To print the smaller version, just resize in the print preview section to fit four on a page and you will end up with each at approximate 3 1/2″ by 5″). An inkjet printer works the best for these watercolor art images. Grab your own copy HERE!

I used card stock for the backing, then I attached them with clothespins on a memo board made from an old window from a family home (true vintage!). The window was broken on one side so I adhered chicken wire and some whimsical bird drawer liner material to the back.

A memo board is great in an entryway, kitchen or laundry room as a command center for the whole family; organizing schedules, grocery lists and offering inspiring messages. It is also great for hanging up hats, keys and aprons. Check out my post for a DIY key holder called Dress Your Nest – “The Easiest Way to Transfer Lettering to Wood”

Entryway Refresh
After packing up the last of our Christmas decor, I was inspired to create a fresh bright area to display my new calendar. This entryway certainly speaks “spring” to me, even though we have quite a bit of winter to get through. I love my “Enjoy the Little Things” mug because it reminds me that there is so much to enjoy in each moment of each day (even in the winter months). It could be in the joy of creating something new or simply having your favorite tea with a friend.

Even though I share a lot of freebies and tutorials, I held back for years sharing my creations because I feared failure. As creatives, you and I can be held back due to negative thinking. Thank you for doing this. Your work is so lovely and it’s really kind of you to share.
Hi, Darlene! Great idea to put the calendar on scrapbooking paper. I just have a couple pieces with summer patterns. It remains only to print your calendar and voila – the craft is ready.
